This font is printer and cutting machine friendly. All characters have been thoroughly smoothed out and cleaned up. I had fun creating this font family as I can imagine lots and lots of projects using this font such as t-shirts, mugs, posters, and more! You will definitely enjoy this one as much as I do. 

There are additional ways to access alternates/swashes, using Character Map (Windows), Nexus Font (Windows), Font Book (Mac) or a software program such as PopChar (for Windows and Mac).

To enable the OpenType Stylistic alternates, you need a program that supports OpenType features such as Adobe Illustrator CS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign & CorelDraw X6-X7, Microsoft Word 2010 or later versions.

In October of 2019, I made up a bunch of fake movie titles and made logos for them. I called the project 31 Days of Horror Fonts, and posted one each day on Instagram.

People who follow my account voted for their favorites, by liking and commenting… I then proceeded to make the most popular logos into complete typefaces.

Skate Bait finished in 1st place with 28 votes (likes) and was published on the 3rd day of the project.

How to access alternate glyphs?

To access alternate glyphs in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator, choose Window Type & Tables Glyphs

In Photoshop, choose Window Glyphs. In the panel that opens, click the Show menu and choose Alternates for Selection. Double-click an alternate's thumbnail to swap them out.

Bhontage is a powerful multipurpose handwritten font script that is suitable for all types of projects. It contains 333 total glyphs and 148 alternative characters that are divided into several OpenType features such as Ligature, alternatives, swash, style sets and alternative styles that allow you to mix and match letter pairs that match your design. You can access all these alternative characters by using OpenType smart programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Bhontage Script is available in 2 different styles (Regular and Italic) in the .OTF, TTF format.

Bhontage Script is coded with PUA Unicode, which allows full access to all the extra characters without having special designing software. Mac users can use Font Book , and Windows users can use Character Map to view and copy any of the extra characters to paste into your favourite text editor/app.
